Plans continuing for TCSA County Government Day March 12-13
County officials wanting to attend the 2018 version of County Government Day March 12-13 can now register online and make their hotel accommodations through the conference hotel DoubleTree Downtown Nashville.
The newest tentative agenda can be found by clicking here.
One of the biggest differences this time is that the County Officials Association of Tennessee has decided not to participate in the TCSA County Government Day conference.
Plans include board and committee meetings and general membership meetings for all associations and affiliates (TCSA, TCHOA, TCCA and ACM) to begin on Monday, March 12. County officials will receive additional information from their respective affiliate association. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend the Monday night Senate and House floor sessions of the General Assembly, as well as legislative committee and subcommittee hearings on Tuesday.
The County Government Day breakfast is for all attendees and invited legislators and will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13.
The conference will be held at the DoubleTree Downtown Nashville, located at 315 4th Avenue North, Nashville. A dedicated website is available to book hotel rooms online. Reservations are available at this web address:
For those who prefer to make hotel reservations by phone, please call 1-800-222-8733 and mention group code TCS to get the group rate of $180 plus applicable taxes. The cutoff date for reservations is February 9, 2018. After this date, rooms may be available, but at a higher rate.
Please be considerate of others when making hotel reservations by reserving only ONE hotel room in your name so that all counties that wish to stay at the conference hotel will have the opportunity. Any rooms cancelled after the cut-off date of February 9, 2018, will be charged for one room night. If you find that you are unable to attend the conference after you have booked your hotel room, please call the TCSA office before releasing your room back to the hotel, so that we may offer it to members who may not have been able to secure a room at the DoubleTree.
As additional information becomes available, we will update the association websites and send additional email communications.
