County Officials Orientation Program
As a recently elected county official, you are invited to attend the 2018 County Officials Orientation Program (COOP) at the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro. The University of Tennessee County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS), in cooperation with the Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA) and its affliates,the Tennessee County Highway Officials Association (TCHOA), the Tennessee County Commissioners Association (TCCA), the Association of County Mayors (ACM), and the County Offcials Association of Tennessee (COAT), hosts COOP for elected county officials. COOP provides county officials, both re-elected and newly elected, with information important to them as they prepare to assume office on September 1. Topics include county offices and authority, oaths and bonds, personnel issues, ethics, confict of interest, open meetings and records.
August 20-21, 2018 COAT Officials (county clerks, trustees, registers of deeds, court clerks)
August 22-23, 2018 TCSA Officials (county mayors, county commissioners/metro councilmembers, county highway chief executive officers)
