The Museum of Appalachia is a historic village and working farm in the Southern Appalachian mountains. Enjoy a day of exploring authentically furnished cabins in the pioneer village and gardens. Take a stroll through our scenic grounds as well as our Hall of Fame and Display Barn with more then 250,000 artifacts and relics on display. Enjoy farm animals in their natural setting and experience southern hospitality at its finest.
After your signature self-guided tour, sit down to a full Southern Appalachian country buffet in our comfortable banquet hall and enjoy authentic traditional and bluegrass music from our Museum of Appalachia Band. After the meal, browse our museum gift shop for American-made crafts and gifts, many from local and regional artisans, or relax in a high-backed rocking chair on our covered porch overlooking the scenic museum grounds.
