The executive director of the Association of County Mayors is the only full-time employee for the organization. However, because ACM is an affiliate organization of the Tennessee County Services Associations, the director works closely with the TCSA office to provide an array of services to its membership. Likewise, the ACM executive director also works with the heads of the other TCSA affiliate associations, the Tennessee County Commissioners Association and the Tennessee County Highway Officials Association. This collaborative approach better insures that county officials statewide receive the level of service they expect from their associations.

Anthony Holt, Executive Director Anthony Holt had served four consecutive terms as the County Executive of Sumner County prior to his role in ACM. During his tenure as county mayor, Holt has represented Sumner County as the chair of several boards, including the Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency, Regional Transportation Authority Finance and Audit Committee, and the Tennessee Central Economic Authority. Holt served as the President of the Greater Nashville Regional Council from 2019 to 2021. He also received the Council of Governments’ Mayor of the Year Award twice, most recently in 2021.
